Today I had the privilege of working on a short film with some fantastic people telling a great story. Working with Laith Nakli and Maryam Mir was an unforgettable experience. Sweet Refuge tells the story of a family of Syrian immigrants trying to stay connected to home by continuing to bake and share their famous baklava. This is a beautiful story, and I am grateful to be a part of it. Look out for Sweet Refuge on the short film festival circuit in 2022!
